TPD

Two men sitting in a parked car near Markley Park were carjacked by two masked and armed men, the Turlock Police Department reported.

The carjacking was reported in the 3100 block of N. Berkeley Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Friday.

The two victims told officers they were sitting in the car eating some food they had just bought when two men approached the vehicle, one on each side, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Parmley.

The first suspect, described as a Black man, knocked on the side window and pointed a handgun at the driver. The second suspect, a Hispanic man, came up on the passenger side and pointed his gun at the front passenger.

The suspects ordered both men out of the vehicle, to which they complied.

The suspects got in the car and drove away. Several hours later the vehicle was found parked in a Fresno neighborhood.

The suspects were both wearing dark clothing and had masks on their faces.
