A Turlock Police officer arrested a man Saturday morning after witnessing him steal from a parked vehicle in downtown Turlock.
The officer spotted the man, later identified as Sean Rigney, 24, around 6 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of S. Center Street.
According to the police department, the officer saw Rigney get into an unlocked vehicle and start rummaging through a collection of compact discs.
The officer made contact with Rigney and found him in possession of methamphetamine. He was charged with attempted theft, possession of methamphetamine and a parole violation.
