Denair Elementary School and Denair Academic Avenues teamed up to celebrate the 100th day of school with a canned food drive for Gateway Church food pantry. In addition, the canned food drive students learned about the number 100 through creative activities and school work. The numbers 1-100 are an important part of first grade curriculum.

Stanislaus State’s Academic Senate voted in favor of a bill that would require students enrolled in all 23 California State University campuses to take one 3-credit unit of any qualifying Ethnic Studies course before they graduate (Journal file photo).
