New watering schedule beginning Nov. 1
conservation corner pic

The City of Turlock’s winter watering schedule will go into effect Nov. 1 and will continue until Feb. 28. The winter watering schedule limits outdoor watering to only one day per week, with even numbered addresses watering on Saturday only and odd numbered addresses watering on Sunday only. Watering will still be prohibited between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

The City of Turlock encourages customers to turn off their sprinklers during the fall and winter months. Shorter days, cooler temperatures, and plant dormancy are all reasons to stop or significantly reduce landscape watering. As a reminder, there is no watering during or within 48 hours after measurable rainfall.

 WATER CONSERVATION TIP #72

Insulate your water pipes: You will get hot water faster and use less water if your water pipes are insulated plus avoid wasting water while it heats up.
