An employee at a feed company had to be airlifted to an area hospital after falling from a silo on Tuesday night.

The incident happened in the 9000 block of W. Main Street and brought out both the Turlock Rural and Turlock City fire departments.

The employee fell from a silo about 25 feet, landing on a catwalk, which was still about 20 feet above the ground, according to the Turlock Rural Fire Department's Facebook page.

The Turlock Fire Department was called to the scene to aid in the aerial rescue with their ladder truck.

The employee was retrieved off the catwalk and was taken by an air ambulance to an area hospital. The employee's injuries and current condition were not available.
