Celebrating the national “Bike to Work Week,” community members joined together on Friday at the Turlock Farmers Market for a bicycle tour of Turlock. City leaders, residents, police officers, children and bike-lovers of all ages went along for the ride, with many holding signs reading “Turlock Farmers Market Loves Bicycles”, “Bike to Work, Burn Fat Not Fuel”,” “Today’s Forecast: 15 percent increase in productivity for bicycle riders”, and more. The City of Turlock has also taken an interest in biking, as City staff work on developing the City’s Bicycle Master Plan that will improve safety throughout the community by adding more bike lanes and planned bicycle routes to local schools.
