Blood drive for injured fire fighters

A community blood drive for the two Modesto firemen injured in a New Year’s day blaze has been scheduled for Monday.
The blood drive for James Adams and Jason Clevenger is being sponsored by the Oakdale Rural Fire Protection District and the Delta Blood Bank. The drive will be held at 1398 East F. St., in Oakdale. Donations will be accepted between 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling 470-4636 or 847-6898.
A trust fund has been established to provide assistance to the families. Contributions can be made to the Modesto Fire Fighters at the First Federal Credit Union, located at 430 12th St., Modesto, CA 95354.

As thousands took to Turlock over the last two weeks for the 2025 Stanislaus County Fair, the absence of a family that was incredibly dedicated to the community and especially its agricultural activities was heavily felt by several attendees. That included members of the Pitman High School FFA chapter.
