Easter celebrations set for Turlock

For the first time since 2016, Easter will take place in the month of March. Groups from across Turlock are set to celebrate in a variety of ways in the coming weeks. Events below are listed in chronological order.

 

Pageo Lavender Farms Paint Night

 

Adult community members can get a head start on the Easter celebrations on March 13 at Pageo Lavender Farms for a paint night, which will run from 5 p.m.to 8:30 p.m. Tabbed as “Paint Night with Annette,” guests can choose from two designs to paint on an 11x14 canvas. One beverage and appetizers will be included for $48.There are 25 seats available. Those interested can register at https://pageo.typeform.com/to/IdsQGVQm

 

Kiwanis Community Easter Egg Hunt

 

All are welcomed to Turlock High School on March 23 for the inaugural Kiwanis of Greater Turlock Community Easter Egg Hunt. The event, which is free and starts at 10 a.m. in the grass fields behind Bulldog Arena, will also include raffles, prizes, music and an Easter Bunny for folks to take photos with. Ten Pin Easter Lane Egg Hunt

 

The Easter Lane Egg Hunt outside of the Ten Pin Fun Center will be held on March 23. As kids hunt for special prize eggs, parents can shop from local vendors. Additionally, food and drinks inside Ten Pin will be 10% off. The event runs from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a raffle at 5 p.m. Raffle tickets can be earned by buying Ten Pin tickets between March 17 and 23, and on the same day with purchase from vendors. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Walk-Through

 

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 4300 Geer Rd. will be celebrating the days leading up to Easter Sunday with an educational walk-through diorama depicting the last week of Jesus Christ’s life, the atonement and His resurrection.  There will be lighting crew, sets, actors, video clips, tour guides and refreshments, all free to the public. The tours will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. March 26 and 27, with tours taking place every 15 minutes. There will also be two Spanish tours each night at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. The tours are handicap accessible and are first come, first serve.

 

Crossroads Eggstravaganza

 

Crossroads Church in Turlock  will hold their annual Easter Egg Hunt, also known as the Eggstravaganza. The festivities will take place on Saturday, March 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.  The event will be held in the park behind the church and is open to the public. Parking is located off of Arbor Road.

 

First United Methodist Easter Egg Hunt

 

Like many churches, First United Methodist at 1660 Arbor Way will have an Easter service. Following Sunday’s service, the church will host their annual Easter egg hunt on the front lawn at 10:30 a.m. There will be bags available for kids to collect their eggs, or guests can bring their own baskets. Fellowship will also be provided on the front lawn.
