Judy Arlene Christoffersen (Kennedy) passed away on April 19, 2024, in Hughson, California, at the age of 81. She was born on April 7, 1943, in Los Angeles, California. Judy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She cherished her family deeply and embraced life with full enthusiasm.
Judy attended Turlock High School and began her career as a dental assistant at Bonander Dental at the age of 18. She later worked as a secretary at Moody Law Firm in Turlock before becoming a homemaker after the birth of her daughters Shelley and Danielle. Judy was a fashion model for various women’s clothing stores and managed the family trucking company, Cal Chris for many years. She was actively involved in various ministries at Bethel Temple Church and later at Monte Vista Chapel in Turlock. Judy had a passion for interior decorating and design, enjoyed camping with her family, and embarked on trucking adventures with her husband Larry, in their 18-wheeler and motor-home. She and Larry were members of the local Corvette Club and shared a love for attending San Francisco Giant baseball games and NASCAR races.
Judy is survived by her husband, Larry Christoffersen, sister Linda Ericksen, daughters Shelley (John) Silva, Danielle (Michael) Everett, grandchildren Ryan (Crisnel) Silva, Amanda Silva, Micah (Melina) Silva, Mitchell Everett, Makayla Silva, Zachary Silva, and 4 great-grandchildren, Lyka, Lance Hunter and Liana Silva. She is preceded in death by her father, Elijah Leroy Kennedy, mother, Vashti Kennedy Maddox, granddaughter Jessica Everett, and sister, Georgia Paul.
Visitation will be held from 4pm to 7pm on Tuesday, April 30th, at Allen Mortuary. A memorial service will be held on May 1, 2024, at 11am at Crossroads Church, 1360 N. Johnson Rd, Turlock, CA 95380. A reception immediately will follow the service.
Interment will follow the reception at 2:30 at Turlock Memorial Park.
