The Stanislaus County Fair is looking for local talent to fill its 2011 Community Stage lineup.

The Stanislaus County Fair is seeking local entertainment to perform on the Health Plan of San Joaquin Centennial Stage during this year’s fair, July 15 – 24. This is the former community stage which will now be located next to the fair’s historical arch gate.

The fair is considering gymnastics groups, martial arts demonstrations, and dance and musical performances from local clubs and groups. Interested parties can contact Carole Swan at cswan@stancofair.com or by phone at 668-1333 ext. 309 for consideration; the deadline is June 17.

“This year, we would truly like the centennial stage to be representative of our local community’s talents,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair.

The 2011 Stanislaus County Fair opens for its 100th anniversary celebration July 15 for a 10-day run. Discounted Fair admission tickets, unlimited ride wristbands and arena event tickets are now on sale. Visit the fair’s website for complete ticket sale details at www.stancofair.com.
