Grocery Outlet, which will be moving into their new W. Main Street location by September, is holding a job fair today.

Turlock will soon play host to a new supermarket store, Grocery Outlet, which is also looking to employ approximately 20 new employees before its grand opening in September.

The store will be hosting a job fair today where locals will have a chance to apply for positions as well as learn more about Grocery Outlet as a company.

Grocery Outlet is unique from other grocery stores in that it offers name brand products at discounted prices of 40 to 60 percent by purchasing overstock products or misprinted labels allowing consumers to save money without sacrificing quality.

“You never know what you’re going to find when you come to Grocery Outlet, which is exciting, but at the same time you will always be able to find the staples,” said Brooke Joller, Grocery Outlet representative.

Each Grocery Outlet store is family owned with the mission of contributing to its respective community and the Turlock store will further this initiative by donating $1,000 to the Salvation Army at the Ribbon Cutting ceremony on Sept. 4.

“Each story really has its own story and has the ability to do what it wants to serve its community,” said Joller.

The Turlock Grocery Outlet will open its doors on Sept. 6 with the fanfare of a grand opening event that will feature free games, face painting, food, and more. There will be a wheel to spin for prizes that include free groceries for a year, propane gas grills, bike cruisers from a local bike shop, and more.

The Grocery Outlet job fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. today at 1010 10th Street in Modesto.
