The 14th annual Festival of Lights once again heralded the holiday season as hundreds gathered Friday night to watch the lighting of Turlock's Christmas Tree in Central Park.

The highlight of the night was the lighting of the city’s 28-foot Christmas tree.  The seconds long  lighting was preceded by a host of other activities included carriage rides, pictures with Santa, special shopping opportunities and live entertainment.

Turlock Resident Michelle Honor has made attending the Festival of Lights a holiday tradition.

“Everything about the Festival of Lights screams holiday spirit,” said Honor. “It’s a great opportunity for my family to get together and enjoy of all the forms of entertainment downtown Turlock has to offer.”
