The City of Turlock has revamped its Home Water Survey Kits and they have just arrived. These water survey kits are a great way for residents to audit their water usage themselves. It will allow customers to see how efficient they are with their water use as well as identify areas for improvement.
The Home Water Survey Kit contains the following:
· Leak detection and water meter information
· Indoor water use analysis worksheets
· Appliance efficiency and leak check guide
· Outdoor water use analysis worksheets
· Landscape irrigation references
· Water conservation resources
· Flow meter bag
· Toilet tank leak detecting tablets
· Survey results response form
Some features of the water survey kit are to help customers determine how much water they are using when taking showers, baths, washing dishes and doing laundry. The kit also provides customers with step-by-step instructions on how to check for showerhead, faucet and toilet leaks. For those who complete the home water survey and submit the Survey Results Response Form, free water conservation devices will be provided.

Use the same drinking glass: Most people drink several glasses of water each day. Reuse the same glass rather than placing it in the dishwasher. This will cut down on the number of glasses used throughout the day and create less to wash.
