Anna Eshoo has taken her love for the community and passion for yoga to combine the two concepts at her I Am Yoga Wellness Studio.

Eshoo is the sole owner of I Am Yoga and has been in business for seven years, operating in the same hometown she grew up in.

“I was born and raised in Turlock, this is where I want to be,” said Eshoo. “I have a talent, a gift and a love for something, so why not share it with my community?”

I Am Yoga offers a diverse yoga menu that includes Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, Prenatal, Chair Yoga and Pilates classes.

“This studio really caters to all walks of life. It’s like yoga for everybody,” said Eshoo. “Wherever they’re at in their wellness journey, we’re able to cater to that clientele.”

Eshoo’s teaching style has been influenced by many teachers and traditions and allows students to grow in their practice naturally, encouraging them to evolve at their own pace, honoring their body and loving who they are.

“I got on the mat myself as a beginner, never had done yoga before… It had such a positive effect on me; it’s just a whole body and mind connection that allows you to unplug from social media and our hectic everyday lives,” said Eshoo. “If we give ourselves the gift of an hour a day to unplug we would be so much healthier.”

The wellness studio offers a Yoga Alliance 200-hour approved teacher training course, houses massage therapists for therapeutic needs and has an in-house chiropractor.

I Am Yoga is also a multiple scleroris and arthritis certified studio.  It offers a place for clients to not only practice yoga but to get their body moving again after they have gone through rehab.

“We focus on movements linked with breath in order to be in tune with your body,” said Eshoo. “At some point in your life you just need to take a pause, to stretch your body and to breathe. It’s important to love exactly where we’re at in our life and to love our body.”

I Am Yoga offers a variety of different classes and practices, all with the same goal of bettering yourself for a happy, healthy lifestyle.

“I believe in this studio, I believe in the community and I believe that we deserve to have this here and really change lives,” said Eshoo. “People need to love themselves, take care of themselves and make themselves a priority; it’s such a wonderful thing.”
