 History of Business: Specializing in bridal, television, celebrity and special event makeup, Turlock resident and professional makeup artist Cher Morgan uses the power of makeup to help women feel as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside.

As a licensed esthetician, who attended the Aveda Institute in Chapel Hill in North Carolina, Morgan not only focuses on event and special effects makeup, but also specializes in skincare. Offering skin consultations, Morgan helps clients achieve perfect, flawless skin through various treatments and skin care products.

Morgan has not always been a professional makeup artist. Before venturing into the world of cosmetics and skincare, she served as an active duty member of the United States Air Force where she even spent time working at the Pentagon. It was during this time that Morgan met her husband Jesse. After getting married, he continued to serve in the USAF while Morgan took on new career options. As an entrepreneur, Morgan began designing clothes for other military wives, and briefly had a music career.

Once having two sons, the couple moved to Turlock to raise their children. Jesse Morgan is currently a police officer with the San Jose Police Department, while Morgan returned to her love of all things fashion and beauty related.

“My love for makeup began when I was six years old while sitting at the foot of my great-aunt Kay’s vanity watching her apply her makeup,” said Morgan. “She would let me and my cousins play with her makeup and her wigs.”

In 2012, Morgan opened her business “Cher Morgan Timeless Beauty,” holding a launch party featuring a runway show at Smith Chevrolet Cadillac in Turlock. Since then, Morgan has gathered a wide variety of clientele, from high school students getting ready for prom, to brides-to-be getting ready for their big day.  She also offers a myriad of makeup tips, hints and skincare advice on the Cher Morgan Timeless Beauty Facebook page and website.

“This is my dream job,” said Morgan. “Please don’t wake me up.”
