Silva Injury Law in Turlock is once again urging folks to not get behind the wheel while intoxicated, this time for Independence Day.
For the past several years, the injury attorney has offered a “sober rides” promotion on nights like New Year’s Eve and Day, as well as Thanksgiving — days that are known for partying and celebrating. Bracing for another increase in late-night festivities on Friday and in an effort to reduce the risk of drinking and driving, they are offering free holiday ride-shares.
Individuals looking to take advantage of the offer must be the legal drinking age of 21 or older to qualify. There is a limit of one reimbursement per household.
As for the rides themselves, they must be taken between 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. the next morning, and it is only valid for one one-way ride through a cab, Uber, or Lyft to a safe destination. Rides must be in one of the following California metro areas: Turlock, San Francisco, Modesto, or Merced and of a maximum value of $25 anywhere within the eligible areas. The maximum value includes a tip of up to 10%. Anything above a 10% tip on the base fare will not be reimbursed.
Within 10 business days, individuals must submit a copy of their receipt and photo ID and mail them to the Silva Injury Law office in Turlock: Silva Injury Law, 2857, Geer Rd, Suite B, Turlock, CA 95382.
Submissions are limited to the first 60 submissions, and are expected to fill up fast. All entries are on a first-come, first-serve basis, in the order in which Silva Injury Law receives them in the mail.
