STRUMMING THE DAY AWAY
bluegrass

The grass is green and the music is blue out at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds where the California Bluegrass Association is holding their spring campout. Doreen Heath and Lance Krajewski, both of Modesto, enjoy the afternoon playing their fiddle and banjo.

"I've been coming for years and enjoy the music. You can walk around to different sites and enjoy music from all ages," said Heath. "Sometimes you will see very large groups of people picking a fast pace song."

The campout runs through Saturday at the fairgrounds. It costs $30 for RV's per night and $10 per night for tents. The Blue Js will be the featured band during Saturday's dinner. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the fairgrounds at the CBA booth.
