History of Business:

After roughly 38 years in Turlock, Suddenly Perfect has moved from its Geer Road location closer to the downtown on East Olive.

The new space is a downsize for the salon as the Geer Road location was nearly 2,000 square feet in size and the new location is 500 square feet.

“It’s a little more personal,” said owner Alison Washington who joined Suddenly Perfect in 2001 and took over as the owner two years later.

The salon’s new intimate feel is appropriate for the small team of the three stylists as they all have the same focus: hair. While facial waxing is included in Suddenly Perfect’s list of services, unlike other salons there are no nail bars or massage stations.

“It’s all about hair,” laughed Washington. “Anything with hair we do.”

This includes cut and colors, highlights, perms, Brazilian blowouts, keratin complex treatments, up-dos, and extensions. While the new location downtown is a bit quieter than the Geer Road location, Washington said the change has been beneficial as it has brought in additional customers on top of the stylists’ established clientele.

“We’re off the beaten path, but we’ve still gotten walk-ins,” said Washington. “The change has been good.”
