More specialty care services, including mental health support, are now available at 1000 Delbon Ave. in Turlock, as part of Sutter Health’s plans to expand access to care services across its system.
“Our goal is to bring essential services closer to home for Turlock residents,” said Amber Campbell, Ambulatory CEO for Sutter Health’s Greater Central Valley. “We’re making it easier for patients to get the care they need, right in their community.”
Recognizing the growing need for more mental health support, four new providers specializing in this area are now seeing patients. The location features Dr. Nina Kaur, a child psychologist; Andromeda Lascano, a marriage and family therapist treating adults; Noemi Rangel, a licensed clinical social worker; and Kathryn Richardson, a psychiatric nurse practitioner. These clinicians will help support group and couples therapy, family psychotherapy services as well as medication support.
“Behavioral health plays a critical role in overall wellness,” said Dr. Lindsay Cunha, chief of the Gould Medical Group’s behavioral health department. “With more providers and expanded services, we’re better positioned to support the mental health needs of individuals and families in this community.”
The newly renovated space at Delbon Avenue will also feature expanded cardiology services. Dr. Gauhar Khan and Dr. Sulman Razzaq, who both specialize in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, will host weekly appointments. A new cardiology advanced practice clinician will also join the office in the future. Imaging supporting advanced cardiology diagnostics, as well as stress testing, will also be available at the location.
“This expansion is an exciting step forward for Turlock,” said Dr. Amar Pohwani, Gould Medical Group cardiologist and section chief for cardiology. “We’ve brought advanced technology, such as a nuclear camera, to this facility and plan to continue adding cardiologists to meet growing demand.”
The new suites complement the existing Turlock Care Center at 3100 Christoffersen Parkway, which continues to provide primary and specialty care.
