Taking an Easter stroll

Students from Turlock Nursery School went on an Easter walk Thursday morning to Willard Anderson’s home garden in Turlock. Anderson owns a home near the school, and opened his garden to the students. The trip tied into the student’s reading of “Peter Rabbit and the Briar Patch.”  At Anderson’s garden they followed the trails like little bunnies.

A recurring theme at the opening night of the 2025 Stanislaus County Fair in Turlock — the 107th edition of the annual event — was the heat. Sure, it's not 108 degrees like last year, but 102 on Friday afternoon wasn't too far off.
