When Stefani Stacy began her career, she thought she would ultimately end up becoming a cosmetologist, cutting clients’ hair and giving manicures on occasion. When she realized the field wasn’t her passion, she turned to skin care.

Today, she and her sister Jenni Stacy are co-owners of their own spa, Beauty Blossoming.

“I went to do cosmetology and realized I hated doing hair because no one was ever happy with it, and I hated touching peoples’ feet,” Stefani said. “So, I said I’ll just do skin care and that’s when I was like, this is the best thing ever.’”

Stefani and Jenni opened Beauty Blossoming in 2017, offering a wide variety of beauty services like facials, waxing, spray tans, teeth whitening, eyelash extensions, permanent makeup and more. Most recently, the sisters have been promoting skin care as a vital facet of self-care.

“We think skin care is very important because we only have one skin for all of our life and it’s really hard to repair it,” Stefani said.

Facials at Beauty Blossoming are customized to each client’s skin type, she added, and add-ons like needling, microdermabrasion and chemical peels can be included.

The business has grown from one small room to the duo now planning an expansion into the remaining empty suites in the Beauty Blossoming building.

Stefani originally rented a tiny space in a salon, she said, but soon needed more room, prompting the move into a larger space where she convinced her waxing-licensed sister to accompany her.

“My clientele just kept building and I needed more space,” Stefani said. “I kept telling my sister to come with me. She was afraid, but she finally did.”

Working with her sister has made owning a business all the more fun, Stefani said, since the pair does so together.

“It’s fabulous because she’s like my best friend too,” she said. “All we have to do is look at each other and we know what each other needs. It’s hard to find that dynamic with anyone else.”

From Brazilian waxes to lash lifts, the best part about the field is her client’s reactions, she added.

“After they’re done, they’re like ‘oh my gosh, this is amazing,’” Stefani said. “Even with waxing, it might not feel good at first but afterward they feel like a million bucks.”
