The monthly meeting for the Stanislaus County Veterans Advisory Commission will be held in Turlock on Monday.

The Stanislaus County Veterans Advisory Commission routinely meets once a month, usually in Modesto, but the April meeting was scheduled to be in Turlock to help expand the commission’s reach to area veterans.

The purpose of the Commission is to represent all Veterans in Stanislaus County by advising the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors and staff on matters pertaining to all veterans.

Monday’s meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. at Covenant Village at 2125 N. Olive Ave.

The meeting is open to the public and all veterans and will be an opportunity to voice any concerns or complaints.

Veteran associations will be in attendance, as well as a representative from Congressman Jeff Denham’s office. County Supervisor Vito Chiesa, Turlock Mayor Gary Soiseth, City Council members and other city officials will also be at the meeting.
