The California State University, Stanislaus, Music Department will be paying tribute to one of the area’s premier arts benefactor and supporter at the 10th annual Donor Recognition concert on Friday.

The department will recognize award-winning singer and actress Grace Lieberman for her Lifetime Achievement in the Arts.
The annual concert recognizes the generosity of the many donors who provide vital support to music programs and students. This year, the Rising Stars of Stanislaus will feature performances by students in the vocal program. At the performance, the music department — part of the university's School of the Arts — will recognize Lieberman for her profound impact on the arts in the Central Valley over the past 30 years.
The former executive director of the Stanislaus Arts Council, Lieberman has been credited with the development of innovative and important arts programs in Stanislaus County. She is a longtime supporter of the music department at CSU Stanislaus and has partnered with music students to produce performances of Sunday Serenades, among many others.
The performance and special presentation will be held in the Bernell and Flora Snider Music Recital Hall, One University Circle in Turlock, at 7:30 p.m. Friday. A complementary reception will be hosted on the Snider Recital Hall patio immediately following the concert.
Tickets are $12 for general admission and $8 for seniors, military, students and CSU faculty and staff. They may be purchased online at www.csustan.edu/SOA. Proceeds benefit the Department of Music Scholarship Fund. Free parking is available in Lot 3.
