Carl Edward Meurrens, 80 years old of Turlock entered into heaven on Wednesday, March 9th. Carl was born in Kansas City , MO to Joseph Alfonso and Vera Marie Meurrens. He moved to California at an early age after the death of his father. He graduated from Lowell Grammar School and Turlock High School in 1953. He played football and ran track. He enjoyed painting, he entered into many shows in Turlock, Modesto and Santa Clara. Art was his passion. He loved God and Jesus Christ. Enjoyed reading the bible, going to church and listening to Southern gospel music. Carl is survived by his wife Sara Joy Meurrens, brother Joseph Meurrens, 2 sons, 7 daughters, 6 son-in-laws, 24 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A celebration of Carl’s life will be held Friday , March 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., with interment to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
