George Autry, 67, passed away Oct. 19, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born Oct. 7, 1942 in Paris, Texas, he spent his youth in San Jose, CA. and graduated from Samuel Ayer High School in 1960. He enlisted in the Air Force shortly after his graduation.  He was an avid sports fan, hunter, fisherman, and loved automobile racing. His mechanical talents carried him through his earthly stay. George recently retired from the Vallecito Union School District in Avery, CA. and then relocated to Ceres.
George is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Carolyn Autry; his children, Tina (Melissa) Autry, Tami (Gino) Testa, Tiffany Baroni, Tanya (Richard) Haley; six grandchildren: Chase, Cole, Chelsie, Dominik, Gabriella, and Brylinn; his proud parents, Elmer and Maxine Autry; and his sister Donna (Larry) Clark. He leaves many cherished friends and co-workers who were very supportive all the way to the end. He will be missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of life will follow in the spring for family and friends.
