A celebration of life for Gordon Larsen, 84, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Allen Mortuary. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery. Gordon passed away at home with family at his side on Thursday.
He was born in East Stanwood, Wash. in 1925. He served in the Navy during WW II. Gordon lived in Gilroy, Gustine, and Newman between 1954 and 1980. When he lived on the Westside, he was a partner of Vege-Cool. In 1980, he moved to Turlock. Gordon met Frances and married her in 1993. They moved to Ceres in 2005. Gordon enjoyed traveling, fishing, and golfing. He loved to go to Lake Tahoe. Gordon was well known on the Westside.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Frances Larsen of Ceres; children, Steven Larsen of Sacramento, Jeff Larsen (Ramona) Larsen, Dennis (Sharon) Larsen, and Rick Larsen all of Turlock, David (Farris) Larsen of Newman, Kelley Dean of Arizona, Lisa Sportsman of Modesto, Janell (Bill) DuBeau of Wyoming and Brenda (Jamin) Leger of Kentucky; sister, Esther Bell of Blaine, Wash.; 15 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
