Jose Garcia, 99, of Ceres, passed on Feb. 2 in Modesto. He was born in Michoacan, Mexico to Juan and Maria Garcia in 1910. He lived in Ceres for the last six years. Jose enjoyed singing and taking care of family and friends in their time of need but, most of all, God and family were his life.
Jose is survived by his children, Nicolas, Ramon, Reynaldo, Consuelo, Jose, Salvador and Esperanza; 51 grandchildren; and 101 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Teodola Garcia; and children, Carolina and Elpidio.
Visitation will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7 at Allen Mortuary with a rosary to follow. Burial will be in Michoacan, Mexico. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Mortuary. Please share your memories at www.allenmortuary.com.
