Joseph “Joe” Paes passed away at the age of 79. He was born and raised in Winton and lived in Turlock for the last 31 years. He worked as a self-employed welder for 45 years. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time in his shop. He was a very hard worker and also loved family gatherings and his dogs. Joe, or “Papa Joe,” was a wonderful man, husband, father and grandfather. He would do anything for anyone at anytime. He adored his wife more than anything in the world. He would always come home from work with a big smile on his face and say “Hello Babe”; he did this every day of their 31-year marriage. Joe was always happy and always gave his family love. “We will be missing you Papa until we get to see you in heaven.”
He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte; children, Tim Paes, Lisa Paes, Cindy Paes, all of Turlock, Mark Stuckey of Idaho, Wayne Stuckey of Empire, Roseann Soares of Delhi and Lenore Wilson of Ceres; sister, Evelyn Silva of Atwater; 10 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Willie Stuckey; and great-grandson, Markus Stuckey.
