Kenneth “Sonny” “KRod” Rodrigues passed away peacefully at his home in Madera on September 17, 2023 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on March 31, 1948 in Newman to parents Kenneth Rodrigues and Dorothy Armas. He grew up with his older sister Betty, and his twin sister Karen.

Ken graduated high school from Downey High in Modesto, where he met his late wife of 32 years, Carol. He and Carol married in 1967, and had two children. The family attended Monte Vista Chapel in Turlock, where Ken was heavily involved in teaching Bible study classes and Sunday school for new believers.

Ken worked for Proctor and Gamble for over 20 years. He was an avid hunter, and spent many weekends hunting with family and his fellow hunters from church. He lived in Turlock for over 30 years until his wife passed away.

During his retirement, Ken volunteered at Gleanings for the Hungry, where he met his wife Donna. They were married in 2004. Ken and Donna later moved to Arizona, Idaho and back to California to be closer to their children and grandchildren. He and Donna attended Grace Community Church in Madera. They enjoyed teaching Awana’s, spending time with family, and traveling. Ken especially loved getting together with friends and family to play cards. He is known by his hunting buddies and grandchildren for the delicious breakfasts he would cook.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Carol Rodrigues, sister Betty (Jerry) Skidgel, and granddaughter Brianna Rodrigues. He is survived by his wife Donna Rodrigues, twin sister Karen (Jeff) Bowman, children Darren (Nicole) Rodrigues, Christie (Dustin) Smith, stepchildren Heather Lyke and Chris Lyke, grandchildren Zachary (Destiny) Smith, Brooke Rodrigues, Ashlynne (Ryan) Walker, Kyle Rodrigues, Marcus Smith, Isaac Rodrigues, and great grandchildren Kason and Kinsley Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 28, 2023 at 11 am at Grace Community Church in Madera with lunch to follow. 17755 Road 26, Madera, CA.
