Maxine, 87, passed away peacefully on June 30th at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson, CA, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Oklahoma to Floyd and Argie Reddell; the 6th of 12 children. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years, Harold L. Wadlington (2009) and all of her siblings except for one sister. She is survived by her 2 daughters; Joanie Lindquist (Harold) of Turlock, Jeannie Jensen (Gerry) of Turlock, and her sister, Norma Lee Gadberry of Caruthers, CA.
A homemaker and mother, Maxine worked alongside her husband whenever needed. Self-employed, they had a cabinet business in Turlock for many years. Foremost in Maxine's life was her family and church. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ in Turlock.
Maxine is also survived by her 4 grandchildren; Jami Dick (Krystal) of Modesto, Marni Dick of Jamestown, Randy Jensen (Tammi) of Turlock, and Kelli Baldwin (Darren) of Turlock. She leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be at Allen Mortuary in Turlock on Thursday, July 5th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Graveside services will be at Pioneer Cemetery on Scenic Drive in Modesto at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 6th, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 AM at the Turlock Church of Christ, 801 N. Tully Rd. A time of lunch and fellowship will follow.
