Manuel Inacio Goulart, 89, of Winton passed away on April 16 in Mercy Medical Center in Merced.
He was born on Feb. 5, 1921, in Ribeirinha, Faial, Azores. He was a laborer for an aluminum factory for 17 years and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church of Atwater. He was choir director of Newark, San Leandro and Burhach, Maestro da tuna, a one-day show-un dia em Portugal. He enjoyed music, gardening, fishing and volley ball. He lived in Winton for 25 years, San Leandro for 11 years and Atwater for five years. 
He is survived by his wife, Maria A. Goulart of Winton; son, Manuel F. Goulart of Antioch; daughter, Maria J. Pascoal and her husband, Jose, of Cayucos; grandchildren, Aida Gois and her husband, Delcio, of Atwater, and Brianna Lynn Goulart of Antioch; and  great grandchildren, Nicolai Gois, Noah Gois, Dominic Gois and Olvia Gois, all of Atwater
A  Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 24 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 Walnut Ave., Turlock.
Burial will be at Winton Cemetery District.
