Margy Lucille Wear was born on December 20, 1925 to Charles and Ann Gesellchen in Modesto, CA and passed away on January 17, 2023 at 97 years of age. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick; her daughter, Joan Ettinger; her sons, Charles and Gregory Wear, as well as her parents. She is survived by her four children, Robert (Marilyn) Wear, Mary (Hugh) Leonard, David (Silvia) Wear, and Therese Burkhardt.

She graduated from Ceres High and attended Arts and Crafts College in Oakland where she met the love of her life, Fredrick Thomas Wear in August 1944. They were married in November 1945 and settled in Ceres. Margy and Fred had seven children.

Margy was a devout Catholic and was active in the Young Ladies Institute (YLI). She was a member for over 65 years. She loved to garden and spent hours making flower arrangements. She also lived in Gilroy and Santa Cruz. In 2004, she moved to Turlock and was a resident at Covenant Living.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, located on 4040 McKenna Dr. in Turlock. It will be followed by a reception sponsored by the YLI. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Time and location to be announced.
