Marie Vincent, 76, of Turlock, passed away on Monday at Kaiser Hospital. She was born in Yonkers, NY to Joshua and Mary Sarmas in 1933. At the age of five, her family moved to Flint, Mich. and she settled in Turlock in 1946. In 1948, she was married and had two daughters. Marie met Loren Vincent, and in 1989, married him. Marie was a member of the Berkeley Avenue Baptist Church. She had been saved since she was nine years old.
Marie is survived by her husband, Loren Vincent of Turlock; daughters, Carolyn of Visalia and Janice of Merced; step-daughters, Sonja, Nancy and Rebecca; and brother, David Sargis of Santa Cruz. Marie was preceded in death by siblings, Sadie Yonan, Agnes Isreal and Edward Sarmas.
Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 7 at Allen Mortuary. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 8 at Berkeley Avenue Baptist Church. Burial will take place at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 10 at Lakewood Memorial Park.
