Mary Ann Gill, 56, of Turlock passed away on May 12, 2011, at Doctors Hospital in Modesto.  She was born in Santa Cruz on April 11, 1955, to John J. and Zelda A. Souza of Turlock.

Mary Ann attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Turlock High School in 1973.

She is survived by her husband, Gurmukh Gill of Turlock, a Hilmar pharmacist; sister, Elaine Wilson of Rocklin; and brothers, John J. Souza Jr. of Ramona and Lawrence J. Souza of Turlock. She was loved by her many nieces and nephews including  great nieces.

A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 19 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 West Main St., Turlock. It will be officiated by Sister Christina Doona. A  Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday, May 20 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons St., Turlock, followed by interment at Turlock Memorial Park. It will be officiated by Father Mark Wagner. A celebration will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on May 21 at the Sikh Temple, 884 B. St., Livingston.

Any donations in Mary Ann’s memory may be made to the Turlock Fire Department.

Mary Ann is now in a peaceful place for eternity. She is missed by all who loved her.
