Services have been held for Nicanor Munoz, 79, of Hilmar.
Nick was a truck driver for 20 years, and enjoyed driving all over the U.S. and Canada. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Egypt as an Army tank mechanic. He was proud to be a member of V.F.W. Post 5059 and American Legion Post 88 Honor Guard of Turlock. It was also a passion of Nick’s to plow the ol’ dusty fields as a wonderful farmer.
Nick is survived by his sons, Ramond “Ray” N. Munoz of Salinas, Calif. and Joe Munoz of Tucson, Ariz.; step-son, Rafael Valencia of San Diego; step-daughters, Maria Chavarin of Hilmar and Eulalia Gonzalez of Stockton; and sister, Enriqueta C. Arellano of El Paso, Texas.
