Patricia Louise Smith Sunde, 66 of Turlock, passed away August 23, 2013 in South Dakota.  She was born February 11, 1947 in Bemidji, Minnesota to Elaine and Ronald Smith.  Her father was a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army, so they lived and traveled all over the world.  She married Tracy Sunde June 10, 1967 in Montana and settled in Turlock, California in 1971.  She worked for Eye Pros in Turlock, Holsapple Manure Spreading for many years, and was a bookkeeper for Fontis Spa and Salon.  She served as Secretary for the Democratic Party, and was a member of the Red Hats Society. She volunteered for the Men’s Homeless Shelter in Turlock. She enjoyed traveling, swim aerobics, and painting with water colors.  Her vivacious smile and unwavering happiness touched the lives of many on a daily basis. She will be deeply loved and missed by many.
She is survived by her husband Tracy Sunde; son Lance and wife Faith Sunde; two grandchildren Kassey and Lance Andrew Sunde, all of Turlock; and brother Ronald and wife Deb Smith of Elko, Nevada.  She is preceded in death by her parents Elaine and Ronald Smith, and son Rod Sunde.Visitation will be held Friday, September 27, 2013 from 10am - 7pm at Allen Mortuary.  Services will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 10am at Allen Mortuary with interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
