Pauline Morais, a longtime resident of Turlock, passed away peacefully at her home on March 19, 2015.  She was born on October 21, 1935 in Gustine, CA and was the fourth of five children born to Manuel and Marie Alves.  She graduated from Orestimba High School in 1954.  Pauline married her high school sweetheart, Sarafin Morais, in 1955.  They were married for 56 years.

Pauline was a homemaker and a caregiver to her mother and grandchildren over the years.  She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Pauline is survived by her two daughters, Rosemary (Robert) Jackson and Lori (Gabriel) Machado, all of Turlock; her grandchildren, Christine (Scott) Stiles, Ryan (Brittney) Jackson, Christopher (Sara) Machado, all of Turlock, Bobby (Jessica) Jackson of Ceres, and Jodi (Rickie) Kennedy of Chowchilla; and her great-grandchildren Haley and Luke Stiles, Hadlie Jackson and Reece Jackson.  She is survived by her brothers Manuel Alves of Patterson and Mathew Alves of Caruthers.  Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Sarafin, her parents Manuel & Marie, and her brothers John Alves and Frankie Alves.

The family would like to thank Pauline’s wonderful caregivers, Maria and Brittney, for all of their loving support and care they provided for her the last few years.

Services will be held at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Road on Wednesday March 25, 2015 at 11:00am followed by interment at Turlock Memorial Park.
