Richard “Rick” Dutra passed away on February 25, 2017 at the age of 64 in Turlock, CA. 

Rick was born on July 4, 1952 in Turlock, CA to Al and Betty (Wright) Dutra. He was raised and received his education in the Turlock community having attended Wakefield Junior High and Turlock High School. 

He married his wife of 48 years, Gracie Alvarado in 1969. Soon after, they started a family and Rick devoted his time to his two sons, Dominic and Brandon, who became the loves of his life. 

Among his special interests, Rick enjoyed hunting, going down to AJ’s in the morning with his coffee buddies and, most importantly, spending time with his wife and his family. In 2002, Rick became an active member of the Lions where he has devoted his time for the last 15 years.

Rick is survived by his wife, Gracie; his two sons, Dominic and Brandon; his sister, Teri (Robert) Reyes; his four grandchildren Dakota, Drake, Diego, and Lola; his great-grandson, Kyro; his daughter-in-law Yvonne Dutra; his two godchildren, Angela and Sydney and many nieces and nephews. 

A Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wed., Mar. 1 followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. on Thur., Mar. 2 at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, CA.
