Lifelong Stanislaus County resident, Robert B. Borg, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015 at his Ceres home. He was born June 29, 1957 to Robert and Violet Borg, in Turlock, one of five children. Rob grew up in Turlock and graduated from Turlock High School, class of 1975. On November 1, 1980, he married his high school sweetheart, Kelli Hacker.

Rob was a certified electrician and worked for Acme Electric for 27 years. He was an avid 49ers and Giants fan, and loved to watch Nascar and be outdoors. He also loved decorating for holidays, especially Independence Day and Halloween. Rob also coached little league for Hughson Youth Baseball and was a member of the Turlock Free Methodist Church. Despite all his activities, he was a devoted husband and father, and cherished his time with his family most of all.

Rob is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kelli Borg, their children, Candice Rodriguez (Brett), of Hughson, Damien and Carrine Borg, of Ceres, his siblings, Patti Meyers, of Turlock, Janet Barton (Dennis), of Stockton, Mike Borg (Liz), of Columbia Falls, MT, and Thomas Borg, of Turlock, mother-in-law, Mabel Angell Brownlow, of Modesto, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and other family and friends, including his dear dog, Elvis. 

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd. The memorial service will follow on Saturday, June 6 at 4:00 p.m. at Turlock Free Methodist Church, 2006 E. Tuolumne Ave. The service is a true celebration of Rob’s life, and we encourage you to come dressed in bright colors, not black.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Turlock Free Methodist Church, in Rob’s name.
