Shirley Grace Perkins (Erickson), age 90, died in her home in Clackamas Oregon on the morning of February 20th, 2024. She was a graduate of Turlock High and she worked as a cashier at Woolworths before moving to Portland Oregon for bible school, where she met and married Dennis Perkins. As a mom of three, Shirley ran a child care in her home in Oregon. She became a breeder of finches, and then British Shorthair cats. Shirley wanted to be remembered for “raising three wonderful kids.” She is survived by her husband, Dennis; their three children, Sharon Garrett, Mark Perkins and Kathleen Moss; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Eva Erickson; her brother, Don Erickson; and her grandson, David Perkins. Shirley’s body will be buried at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. No services are planned.
