Wyamah Toupin

Wyamah Toupin, age 85, of Turlock, California, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Jodie and Minnie Lindley in Oklahoma. Wyamah lived in Oklahoma and then moved to California as a teenager. She graduated from Excelsior High School in 1954. Wyamah attended Long Beach Community College on a scholarship. She married Paul Toupin on November 18, 1956. They lived in several countries while Paul was in the Air Force.

Wyamah worked for Covenant Village in Turlock for many years before retiring as Human Resources Director. She was a member of Monte Vista Chapel for almost 50 years, and a Sunday School teacher for more than two decades.

Wyamah is survived by her daughters Cheryl Sorrento, born in California; Renee (Michael) Swiggum, born in New York; Michelle Baughan, born in Germany; and Cynthia (Anthony) Toupin-Kiaunis, born in Germany; six grandchildren: Jon, Kevin, Anji, Blake, Kacey, and Lindley; and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Paul Toupin.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be at Allen Mortuary on Monday, September 12, 2022, from 5-7pm. Graveside service to be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 12:30pm.
