When I arrived in Turlock many years ago, the Turlock Journal was a daily
paper. In order to get acquainted with my new community, I read the entire
paper every day. In those days there were a number of interesting characters on
the city council. I was always impressed with Mayor Brad Bates’ ability to
maintain a calm and thoughtful approach to the problems facing Turlock and at
the same time maintain a respectful tone among all the council members.
Later, several years after Brad was no longer mayor, he led the community
volunteer effort to build the children’s play park at Donnelly Park. Brad has
proven his commitment to our city.
We need Brad again. Please join me in supporting Brad Bates
for mayor.
