As CEO of the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds for five and a half years, I had the pleasure and opportunity to work with, and get to know, Abe Rojas. He is a man of impeccable character and honesty, and has done a tremendous job as a trustee of the Yosemite Community College District. Under his leadership, the district has flourished, even as other districts have struggled. It appears he is now being criticized for making difficult decisions. I know from personal experience that comes with the territory. What shouldn't come with the territory are personal attacks and baseless accusations. Sadly, it appears the vitriol and nastiness from the national election has trickled down to our local level. Abe is remaining above that, which won't surprise anyone who knows him. If his opponents' election tactics are any indication as to how they'd act as trustees, the choice is clear. Vote for and retain Abe Rojas as a YCCD trustee.
