Its past time for more action on homeless problem
Placeholder Image

Dear Editor,

We just (finished) celebrating the rising of Christ from the dead, which is fitting and proper to do so. But where is this feeling going? May I suggest where it should go, to the homeless problem.

At present, the Turlock Gospel Fellowship is planning for 40 beds and the We Care organizations has 40 beds, making a total of 80 beds. But, there are at least 135 homeless people in Turlock. We need at least 50 more beds.

It is past time for action. The City Council and the people of Turlock should build some needed shelters and save the lives of many homeless people.
