Prop 31 can help kids and young teens to stay away from flavored tobacco and help stop them from developing habits with other substances.
“The law was intended to keep flavored tobacco away from kids and teens, who report in high numbers that they often start smoking with flavored products,” according to CalMatters. The proposition will ban flavored cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and pods for vapes. As this ban should have happened long ago I cannot even count with my own fingers how many times I have seen teenagers smoke a vape pen or anything else. The fact that kids can easily get their hands on these products is disappointing. If they were going to sell these products to people they should have stricter rules, that way it would be more difficult. In the end vote what you want.
