Dear Editor:
I had the pleasure of serving my last term as the Mayor of Turlock alongside Councilmember Steven Nascimento. During that time, I witnessed firsthand Steven’s passion and commitment to the greater good of our city.

Steven is dedicated to our city’s long-term fiscal health, all while sustaining the quality of life we’ve come to know and love here in Turlock. His position has never wavered on the areas that impact our community the most – advocating on behalf of public safety, improving roads and fighting for common sense reforms that protect the citizens of Turlock. Steven is a proven leader who continuously listens to the feedback of our community members, and has demonstrated on countless occasions to be a person of integrity and of his word.

This isn’t to say that we always agreed on issues, but I knew that I could always count on Steven to argue his point with respect for his fellow council members, as well as the public. Since leaving the Council in 2014, I’ve been impressed with Steven’s willingness to stand up and fight for what for what is right for Turlock. Steven’s passion for our community and his willingness to be a strong independent voice for our city makes him the best bet for Turlock’s future. I hope that you will join me in supporting Steven Nascimento for Turlock City Council this November.
