Nascimento is responsive to his constituents

If you have driven across the railroad tracks at Monte Vista lately, you know that a recent “repair” has created a bumpy and dangerous situation when crossing the railroad tracks. On more than one occasion I have come close to being rear-ended as others slam on their brakes after hitting the bump. On Wednesday I called City Hall to address the recent "repair" and was told that the final repair project was put out to bid, but could not go forward until after the City Council meeting on Oct. 25, because it was too late to place it on the agenda for Oct. 11. Seriously? I took to Facebook and reached out to Council member Steven Nascimento. He responded immediately, taking the time to explain the issue and how it came to be. He also told me he would work on expediting the repair. Within an hour, Steven contacted me to let me know that he had the item moved up to the Oct. 11 meeting. Talk about responsive! Council member Steven Nascimento has my vote this November.
