Dear Editor,

Heat waves stress our energy grid (and water supply). Meanwhile, we endure a pandemic and historic unemployment! These are serious problems. We must have smart solutions. 

“Smart and local” is why I support Josh Harder for Congress. 

Josh is bright. He’s effective. He cares. He has written and supported federal legislation that benefits us. 

Josh’s focus is on local water storage, water recycling and support for farmers active in groundwater recharge (FARM Act). Early in the pandemic, he voted for local assistance via the HEROES Act and the CARES Act. He stays on top of education issues, even holding administration officials publicly accountable.

Josh also is a superb listener AND he is innovative. He hosts telephone town halls and newly created drive-up Q&A sessions to address constituent concerns. He asks each person, “What’s on your mind?”.

And Josh is a problem-solver. His Facebook page is filled with comments from residents grateful for his help.

Let’s be smart, like Josh, and look forward. He sees opportunities available to us. Let’s work together.
