Turlock needs more shelter beds
Placeholder Image

Editor,

Have you been outside in this cold weather? Imagine sleeping outside. The Turlock Gospel Mission and We Care organizations and their volunteers ought to be praised for their work. The only trouble is it's not enough.

The gospel mission is planning for 36 beds and We Care has 49 beds. This makes a total of 85 beds. But there are at least 100 homeless people. It is going to take a lot of effort for the City Council with the aid of the national government and other to provide shelter for the remaining 15. Can we do it?

The saving of 15 lives ought to be worth it.
