Turlock High wrestler Eli Watson won the 215-pound division at the annual California Bulldog Classic this past weekend, completing a four-year run in which he won four Classic titles without ever losing a match.
“I was pretty confident going in,” said Watson, who qualified for the state tournament last season. “I feel like I’m taking the steps I need to be taking and I’m putting in the work. Based on that performance, I’m pretty confident.”
Up next for Watson and the Bulldogs is the James Riddle Tournament at Oakdale High this coming weekend.
